A challenging walk up and along the magical Bredon hill. As part of the Cotswolds it features panoramic views of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and the Vale of Evesham. Our Journey starts in the parish of Ashton-under-hill, Where we ramble to the top of Bredon hill. We then continue on toward’s a historic tower along well defined tracks, commonly known as Parsons Folly which stands adjacent to the earthworks of a iron age camp (Kermerton camp), a fort which was destroyed and abandoned after a fierce battle in the 1st century. Whilst ambling past the yellow rape seed fields (in summer) we will experience views of the plateau with the chance of seeing some shy roe deer grazing, framed by the vale of Evesham in the distance. Finally we pass the historical site of Elmley castle ruins and return down the hill to the start again.
